Back in the early days of automotive design a lot of features which are common place now were just being discovered.  With all the big manufacturers trying to get sales it was always a race to see who would have the latest and greatest offering.  Buick scored a pretty unique first in 1939 when they were the to introduce turn signals which still wouldn't appear on other makes for years to come.  1939 also received a major redesign with an enclosed nose, reshaped grill and shorter wheelbase.  This 1939 Buick Special 8 business coupe is a really neat car that has been restored entirely to original.  In the time where door to door sales were popular traveling salesman required more space for inventory than they did passengers and thus the business coupe was born.  Manufactures saw this need and cleverly began building cars with no back seat but a storage area instead.  They are quite unique and there is a large fandom that collects business coupes alone.  This Buick is a nice solid car with a rust free body.  It is painted in a nice Beige paint which pairs nicely with all of the original chrome and trim.  It all has a nice shine with no pitting or issues.  The glass is all in good condition throughout and it has the original style split front windshield.  The wheels are painted to match and feature wide white wall tires with Buick hubcaps.

Making this already unique Buick even more rare is the straight 8 cylinder Dynaflash motor.  It has been fully rebuilt to original and runs great.  The hood opens from either side and everything underneath has a very stock look.  The transmission is a 3 speed manual with column shift that functions properly and send power to the 10 bolt rear.

The interior has all been redone and is done in Beige which nicely complements the exterior.  It has a split bench seat and in back is the business coupe tray.  The interior window trim and the dash is all painted in Brown.  The dash is topped with its original trim, gauges, knobs, and switches.  These cars had a very unique 3 spoke banjo steering wheel with horn button which has inspired many after market wheels you see in restomods nowadays.  The odometer shows 33,067 miles on the odometer but it is unknown whether that is original or not.  The trunk of the car houses a spare and offers plenty of additional storage space.

This restored to original Buick has a great look and you just rarely see these cars at all especially done to this level.
