The two-stroke two-cylinder common chamber by Garelli retained the original operating principle of its creator until production in the 1930s.
This Garelli M 107 is the model after the First World War, and you can see it by the positioning of its magnet in front of the cylinders.
In addition, the integral gearbox is 2-speed - the latter a simplified version of the gearbox designed by Adalberto Garelli for Bianchi - and the final transmission is a chain.
The bike incorporates features from the Turismo and Gran Sport models, such as the footpegs and mudguards of the former, and the sporty handlebar of the latter.
Note the absence of the front brake, which came standard only after a year or two.
Curiously though, there are two brake pads (one on each side) that operated the rear brake.
