This Austin Healey 3000 MkIII is a desirable final production specification Phase II model built at Austin’s Abingdon factory 17/18th January 1967. Fully restored the car today is extremely clean throughout and features a host of upgrades focused on making it a fun, easy and enjoyable classic to drive.

Upgrades to this Healey include power steering, telescopic suspension dampers front and rear, a stainless sports exhaust, interior heat insulation, electronic ignition, a high torque starter, alternator conversion, an interior power outlet and negative earth conversion – all of which were fitted by an Austin Healey specialist in 2016. At the same time the car received a full bottom end engine rebuild/rebore further including repaint and detail, engine bay detail, a new clutch and repaint to the radiator.

Externally this smart MkIII presents very well, finished in Healey Blue Metallic with Ivory Duotone, Chrome wire wheels with new tyres (2023). Paint and panel fit is to a very nice standard throughout with a new everflex Navy roof fitted by a Healey specialist in 2016 plus there is a Navy mohair hood bag.

Inside, as a late MkIII this Healey features the late ‘De-Luxe’ interior with wind up windows, Walnut dash and full centre console – all in pleasing condition. The seats were restored in 2020 by a upholstery specialist with new wool carpet fitted a little earlier in 2016. Inertia seatbelts, a radio, power outlet and a Moto-Lita MkIII steering wheel are among some of the mod-cons provided.

Recent maintenance includes: carburettor rebuild August 2023, full service August 2023, new tyres 2023 and the car has MOT until July 2024.
