Constructed in 1996, this Mirage Sports kit car was delivered new to Barbados. The bodyshell is fibreglass and is fitted over a space frame chassis. Powered by a five litre, naturally aspirated V8 engine producing 420bhp the Mirage sounds fantastic when on song. The interior looks very period correct and is in good condition and the engine bay is very presentable.
The engine was built in Kearney USA by Blueprint Engines and is mated to an Edelbrock Pro-Flow EFI system, the engine has been upgraded and includes hypereutectic pistons, a cast Iron cylinder head, a new Blueprint cast steel crankshaft and hardened push rods. The engine is mated to a five-speed Renault UN1 gearbox which works well. Also fitted with Ridetech air suspension the Mirage comes complete with various genuine parts including the wheels which are shod with period correct Pirelli P-Zero tyres, also fitted with an air conditioning system this superb looking Mirage sports car will turn heads wherever it goes! Having covered a mere 2,563 kilometres since it was built it represents a fantastic opportunity to purchase such an example.
