Full race replica of the 2016 British Superbike
BMW has unveiled a special edition S1000RR specifically for the UK market. To be produced in a limited run of just 75 units, this S1000RR race replica came wrapped in the official Tyco livery of BMW's BSB (British Superbike) Championship race bike. The special edition bike not only got the livery of the factory team but also came decked up with a host of performance parts. Dynamic damping control, dynamic traction control, forged wheels, Akrapovic slip-on canister and gear shift assist pro system. All these performance enhancements make this special edition bike the most extreme S1000RR that could be bought in the UK. BMW also offered adjustable rear sets from the HP4, LED indicators, heated grips, alarm and a paddock stand along with the motorcycle. BMW claimed that the tricked-up machines are the highest ever spec S1000RRs to go on sale in the country.
The Tyco BMW Race Replica was available through regular BMW dealers on a first come, first served basis. One of just 15 for the UK market and 75 worldwide. A lot of money for sure but promised to be the closest thing to a British superbike for the road that you can buy for entry to the 200hp club. This example boasts just eight miles from new but has been serviced, maintained and regularly started so should not require any recommissioning to ride. Presented in the Tyco livery a bike that was raced by Tyco trio Ian Hutchison, Christian Iddon and Michael Laverty in 2016. Naturally it comes with all the factory-fit performance options, meaning that you've got dynamic damping control, dynamic traction control and gear shift assist pro on top of the already tasty standard S1000RR spec but features close to £3,000 worth of parts from the BMW performance catalogue. This includes slip-on Akrapovic Exhaust, HP forged wheels, race style footrest and levers, Red Chip plug-in for all race modes as well as LED indicators and a storage package that includes paddock stand, pit mat and bike cover.
