In 2014, the introduction of the Ligier JS P2 marked a turning point in the history of the constructor and symbolized the return of the Ligier name to endurance racing and to the Le Mans 24 Hours.
The Ligier JS P2 is homologated with three different engine configurations with a Nissan VK45 V8, a Judd HK V8 and a Honda HPD V6 twin-turbo all being homologated for use in a JS P2.
The Ligier JS P2 was produced from February 2014 to February 2016 but currently is eligible in Masters Endurance Legends USA including Laguna Seca Classic, Austin Classic, Daytona Classic, Sebring Classic along with Masters Endurance Legends races across Europe.
This particular chassis, chassis #10 was first raced by OAK racing in 2015 powered by a Nissan VK engine. The car was campaigned in the European Le Mans Series and the World Endurance Championship before being sold to Panis Barthez Competition in 2016 where it again competed in the 24 Hours of Le Mans, but only launching an assault on the European Le Mans Series. BBT then purchased the car from Panis Barthez before competing in the Asian Le Mans Series where the car achieved 4 podiums over the course of the 2017-2018 season, and for the final year of current LMP2 homologation, Spirit of Race again campaigned the Asian Le Mans Series, winning the Shanghai 4 Hours and finishing 2nd in the overall season classification.
Ligier is offering for sale the Ligier JS P2 chassis #05 with a fully rebuilt engine in 2023 at €400,000 excluding taxes and shipment.
The car is available in Magny-Cours.
