When it comes to classic car fins you are going to be hard pressed to find some more famous than that of the 1957 Chevrolet. These automotive icons were well received when new but have gone on to become one of the most popular collector cars in the entire world. No museum or collection is complete without one. This was a unique year for Chevrolet as even though they maintained the same chassis/drivetrain as previous years they were given unique features like gold trim, a mesh grill, front fender chevrons and gold scripted Chevrolet emblems. This gave them the look of elegance and class which is likely the reason they have become so sought after and recognizable. This absolutely gorgeous 1957 Chevrolet is a true V8 Bel Air car and is honestly among the nicest around. In the car sales business we have had a lot of different classics in our inventory so of course have dealt with quite a few Bel Airs over the years. Something about this one is just special. The current owner was a meticulous car collector that went over and above when it came to maintaining his collection. The car comes with 2 thick binders where you will find every receipt for anything done to the car while in their possession no matter how large or small the project was. Most car enthusiasts can relate that there are certain cars where you can confirm the quality of the build just by how the doors close. Well this is one of those cars. It has always been kept stored indoors, under a car cover and on a trickle charger. It has been completely restored with no expense spared. The body on it is very straight and entirely rust free. It is painted in its correct gloss Onyx Black paint that shines like a mirror. Black is a tough color to get right and believe us, this one was done right. The chrome is in beautiful condition as is all of the Bel Air trim which is laser straight. It also has a very cool custom trim piece that runs along the bottom of the rear deck lid that will have you scratching your head wondering whether that was original or not. It also has the nicely mounted rear fender skirts which look perfect on these cars and are something you don't see on a lot of them. The car really looks sharp and our pictures probably don't do it justice. It rides on its original steel wheels with factory hubcaps and of course, Diamond Back white wall tires.

Turning those tires is a 327 V8 motor that starts up well and settles into a nice smooth idle. It hasn't been heavily modified but has been dressed up with a chrome air cleaner, chrome alternator, and finned valve covers. It is also topped off with a Edelbrock Performer intake and a 4 barrel Edelbrock carburetor. The car has a great sound through ceramic coated ram horn exhaust manifolds into dual exhaust. Combined with the motor is an automatic 4 speed transmission with overdrive so it has been set up to cruise around town and down the highway with ease. It also has a lot of nice luxuries like power brakes, power steering, and a Vintage AC/Heat system so anyone can comfortably drive it anywhere.
The interior is the factory style Black and Red color which complements the Black exterior perfectly. The upholstery work is in excellent condition throughout. From the carpet to the headliner it looks perfect. It has the split bench front seat with a removable center console for storage and cupholders. Black lap belts have been added in both front and rear for extra safety. The dash has a factory fresh appearance with all of its stock style trim, gauges, knobs, and switches which are all working properly. One very cool feature on the top of the dash is the traffic light viewer which is always a cool conversation piece. This gave the driver the ability to see the traffic lights through its reflection when they were sitting first in line. The aftermarket features found on the inside include an added column mounted tachometer, auxiliary oil/temp gauges, and underdash vents for the AC. The trunk of the car houses the original jack and spare as well as the stock mat which shows zero rust underneath.
We could truly go on and on about how stunning this car is in person but if you are shopping for a '57 you really need to take the time to check it out yourself. This is a top shelf car and would make a wonderful addition to any collection.
This classic '57 could be in your garage for $72,500.00!
