The Volkswagen Beetle was an early adapter, two-door, five-seater “people's car” that has undergone many upgrades over the past century. It is the longest-running and most manufactured single-platform car ever made. The idea behind the Volkswagen Beetle came from Nazi Germany's leader, Adolf Hitler, who wanted an affordable, simple car that could be mass-marketed for the country's new road network. The Beetle was one of the first of its kind: a rear-engined car.

Although the car was designed in the 1930s, the Volkswagen Beetle was first produced in 1945. The car became extremely popular in Germany, which is why the Beetle was more commonly known as the German title “Käfer”, which is German for beetle.

This Australian delivered, right-hand drive example is unique because it has had only one owner and has been kept in almost perfect condition and originality. The original gray paintwork of this “oval” model from 1956 is still in perfect condition. The Volkswagen Beetle coupe features the original beige interior, iconic for its year of production. The car has undergone some repairs.

The one owner has taken excellent care of the vehicle and has only driven it (95,000 miles). The car even has its own original maintenance booklet, manuals and tools. The car comes with new turn signals because traffic laws required this change. They can be easily removed to reuse the outer lift indicators still on the car. It has its original engine and drives perfectly. Also good to mention: the car is completely rust-free.

The car was registered with a Dutch license plate at the end of 2021.

For the true collector who loves and respects originality, this is your car!
