Here we have a very special car indeed. A 3.8 twin carb model manufactured in March 1960 before dispatch by Jaguar Cars to New York on the 4th of April 1960. This vehicle spent the whole of its life up to 2018 in the USA (in dry storage for 30 years) before being shipped to the UK ahead of its "meticulous" restoration carried out by its UK owner.

This car still remains "numbers matching" throughout, including the engine, axle, gearbox and body. Upon realising this the decision was made to retain all of the factory specification of paint (Racing Green), and trim (Suede Green) when being rebuilt.

With the car there is a huge file with a breakdown of the whole build detailing where every penny was spent which gives nothing but confidence going forward for any potential buyer. This is a restoration completed to the standard of a £200k+ rebuild.

The majority of the restoration work has been carried out by marque specialists Project Heaven, including the body work and driveline (Engine, gearbox, overdrive and factory LSD back axle)

The car was reassembled following its body restoration with all new suspension including: Springs, ball joints, re-powder coated suspension components etc and all fitted back to the car with poly bushes. The front brakes were upgraded to Coopercraft 4-pot brake callipers, along with a new servo, rebuilt rear callipers and all new brake hoses and lines.

The vehicle electrics have also been replaced with a new, correct, braided wiring loom having been fitted along with an alternator conversion. The dashboard retains all of its original matching clocks which have all been reconditioned. Underneath the dash there is a power point for phones/satnavs along with a switch for the choke which has been converted from automatic to manual.

All of the interior (seats, door cards & dashboard) and hood/hood bag have been professionally refinished by Aldridge Trimming to a truly magnificent standard and all of the high quality carpets were sourced at Woolies.

There is simply too much detail to list about the restoration of this beautiful example. We are more than happy to help with any specific questions you may have with regards to any detail about the car or restoration.

This beauty is totally ready to go having just completed its shake down and running in miles. buy yourself a restoration fresh XK!
